[FARC] 147.06

Roger Jeff. Radio is a year old Kenwood TM-D710A.
I don't dismiss the possibility of an equipment
problem here. I typically get hammered by intermod
on any radio model up here, but generally it is most
prevalent on HT's. The intermod "hammering" takes
place on the Frederick Repeaters in and around the
Myersville area also, again most prevalent on HT's
which can be pinpointed to the I-70 interchange.

I've been using the Packet frequency 145.75 for 2.5
years on various radios and intermod there from
whatever source is a recent phenomenon and that's
why I thought it was so unusual. Voices with the
intermod I'd never heard before.

Additionally, there seems to be a consensus that if
a certain radio anomaly occurs that doesn't negatively
impact Frederick city stations, then the anomaly
doesn't exist. That's the easy road isn't it? I'm in
repeater shadows, I've got bad antennas, I've got
noise pollution from the house, bad telephone and
electric lines, neighbors' electronic dog fences, and
not one inefficient or malfunctioning repeater. Tell
me anything and I'll believe it is the status quo, but
that I have poorly functioning equipment? Disingenuous.
