[FARC] Rockville Science Day April 10, 2011 - Put it on your Calendar

This year we are going to step it up. In addition to equipment and
operators, we need a number of informative posters or power point
presentation on a screen.

The Theme this year is: HAM RADIO in the INTERNET Age.

While I selected the theme, I really have no idea as to the best way to get
the point across to our audience (Ages 6 to 60).

Here are some radio-computer-internet related activities to demonstrate and
explain:

ILRP
D-Star
Echolink
Remote stations
Winlink
Contesting - DX Cluster
Ham Radio Websites- eHam.net, QTH.com, PVRC, etc.
Any digital mode
Code reading programs - code sending programs

I want to again thank all previous volunteers for their support.  Please
help again this year and bring some friends.  It's a lot of fun.

We have just 9 weeks to pull this together and we need to get started right
away.

Feel free to comment directly or on the reflector. Please participate and
volunteer to help in April.
