The annual holiday celebration of the Frederick 

Amateur Radio Club will be held this year at the 

Golden Corral restaurant located adjacent to the 

Francis Scott Key mall from 6:30PM to 8:30PM on 

Monday the 19th of December.

Club members, friends of club members, spouses, 

significant others, and children are all invited to 

join us to celebrate the holidays.

We will gather in the large room to the right as 

you enter the restaurant.

The cost of the all-you-can-eat buffet is $10.79 

(with a discount of 50 cents for seniors). Soft 

drinks are an additional $2.09 but note that water 

and coffee are provided at no additional cost.

We will have an optional gift exchange with the 

cost of the gift not to exceed $10. Please don't 

feel that you have to participate but it is a lot 

of fun and works as follows.

Those choosing to participate bring a wrapped gift, 

receive a numbered ticket and place their gift on a 

table. After everyone has eaten all that they can, 

the tickets are randomly drawn from a hat one at a 

time. The person that is unlucky enough to have his 

or her number drawn first (me for the past two 

years in a row), chooses a gift from the table and 

unwraps it for all to see and admire.

The next ticket is drawn and that person then has 

the choice of taking the first gift or choosing 

another from the table. If the second person 

decides to take the first persons gift, the first 

person gets to choose another gift from the table.

The exchange proceeds in this manner until the last 

ticket has been drawn. That lucky person gets to 

choose from all of the opened gifts or the last 

unwrapped gift which is still on the table and 

could be the best gift of all.

This get together is in lieu of our monthly 

meeting.
