[FARC] FARC Meeting & Tour of Emer. Comm. Cntr.

Hope everyone weathered the storm safely.

Through special arrangements with the Frederick County Division of Emergency 
Management, we have arranged for a tour of the Emergency Communications 
Center as part of our Feb. 15th, 7 PM monthly meeting. Thanks to the 
Director of Emergency Communications Chip Jewell, we will be meeting this 
month at the Law Enforcement Center, 110 Airport Dr. East, in the first 
floor public meeting room. Park in the front parking lot and turn to the 
left after entering the building's front main door.

After a few brief announcements, we will turn the meeting over to Chip who 
will conduct a special tour of the Emergency Communication Center and 
demonstrate it's capabilities. Chip will also discuss with us their plans 
for better cooperation between the county and local hams with an emphasis on 
severe weather reporting. As usual, our meetings are open to all current and 
prospective hams and Skywarn Spotters, and Frederick Amateur Radio Club 
membership is not required to attend. However, with membership at only $15 a 
year, this is a great opportunity to share in the fellowship of the oldest 
amateur radio club in the county.
