[FARC] Ops REALLY Needed this Weekend!

unrelated but similar request -  The local boy scouts are holding Camp Airy starting Monday. Al Caho will have the SouthBEARS comm trailer there teaching Radio merit Badge. Please listen for W3MDB or KA3DYL on the various repeaters so the boys and get some mike time.

We really need some more warm bodies to help operate the radios this weekend! Dick has now made his station available until midnight on Sat., and will be providing liquid refreshments. If you are available, please contact me via email or cell until about 1000 on Sat. morning. After that, contact Dick at 301-293-1155 for scheduling or directions. Please help if you can.

The Frederick Amateur Radio Club in cooperation with Dick Hayman WN3R, will 
be participating in this year's Maryland-DC QSO Party next weekend, Aug. 
14-15, at WN3R's impressive home radio shack atop Braddock Mtn. at 11000 
Gambrill Park Rd., and we need operators!

The MDC QSO Party is an annual event 
(http://mdcqsoparty.w3vpr.org/Documents/Maryland_QSO_Party_Rules_Eff_2010_v2-0.pdf) 
that draws lots of participants due to it's low key "fun" theme. A big 
advantage of operating from a club station is that other stations really 
want to talk to you as they get the maximum contact points (10) from making 
each club station contact. For this event, we are putting the word out to 
all area hams, whether they are members of FARC or not, to help us out by 
taking a turn at the microphone, key, or keyboard from Dick's shack at 1750' 
elevation with 1000+ watts at your command! This is the second year Dick has 
been gracious enough to host us at his home, and this is one of the most 
amazing multi-op shacks you'll ever see. Don't take my word for it, check

We will be operating on Sat. from 1200-1800, and on Sun. from 1200-2000, and
