Subject: [FARC] ARES Digital Exercise, MDC Frederick County: Saturday April 24 @ 9:30am
Since there are so many different modes, bands, and frequencies for
digital operation, we wanted to have some sort of plan, so, we've come
up with the following schedule
09:30 Voice net on 147.06 MHz Repeater (T 123)
09:40 1200 bps packet test 145.75 MHz
c to w3fdk-9 and read messages, send if desired, only one at a
time, so be brief
direct connects on 145.09 MHz
unproto v w3fdk-9
10:00 9600 bps direct connect test on 145.07 MHz & 446.5 MHz
10:15 Voice net on 147.06 MHz Repeater (T 123) (maintain VHF voice
during HF test)
10:30 HF PSK31 on 28,120 kHz (+ a little if qrm)
10:45 HF MT-63 on 28,130 kHz (+ a little if qrm)
11:00 HF PSK31 on 7035 kHz (+ a little if qrm)
11:15 HF Olivia on 7040 kHz (+ a little if qrm)
11:30 HF PSK31 on 3580 kHz (+ a little if qrm)
11:45 HF MFSK16 on 3582 kHz (+ a little if qrm)
12:00 Ad-hoc open ideas, whatever comes to mind
12:15 Gater logs and send winlink messages to section emergency coordinator
12:30 Official end time close net on 147.06 MHz Repeater
Not everyone will be able to work every mode on every band, but
hopefully there will be something in here that each of you can do.
Monitor the voice net on 147.06 for real time information updates. If
there is a band or mode that you can't operate at the scheduled time,
there is no need to go away, use a band/mode that you have available,
and use the voice net to announce your frequency and mode.
Need help? Ask away, there are enough knowledgeable hams on these
lists to answer all your questions :)
