[FARC] MS & MOD Walks, Hike Across MD ops needed

Greetings,

Now that spring is almost here, we have been asked once again to provide 
communications support for three major public service events here in 
Frederick County. They are:

MS Walk - Saturday, April 4, 0830-1230. Approx. 4-6 ops needed. Start and 
end at Frederick HS.
March Of Dimes - Sunday, April 19, 0830-1230. Also 4-6 ops needed. Start and 
end at Baker Park bandshell.
Both of these walks wind through Baker Park.

And, last but not least -
The biennial Mountain Club of Maryland Hike Across Maryland - Saturday, May 
2, 0530-2030. Approx. 12-14 ops needed to cover different shifts at 10 
checkpoints on the Appalachian Trail from Penn Mar to Harpers Ferry. 
Planning to use some limited APRS for tracking.
Public service events such as these provide us with an excellent opportunity 
to hone our tactical communication skills similar to the way we would 
operate during a real emergency. No experience is necessary nor is 
ARES/RACES membership required, just a ham license and a 2M HT or portable 
rig. Frequencies are TBA. Please contact me if you can help with any or all
