Subject: [FARC] thinning the herd... part 2
Well, hello again! That first item sold quickly... here's some more:
Item 2A / 2B / 2C: RadioShack GMRS/FRS Radios, model 21-1904
These are nice rugged handhelds, with the following specs:
powered by 4 AAA cells
can charge NiCD or NiMH cells in the radios
22 channels (all FRS & all GMRS)
38 CTCSS options
channel scan
key lock
key tome / vibrate mode
VOX with or without accessories
auto power-off
1/2W xmit power on FRS channels, up to 1.5W (!) xmit power on GMRS channels
courtesy tone
headset / speaker mic jack
DC power jack
NOAA weather radio channels
weather alert
direct call (uses CTCSS)
call ID melodies
panic button
belt clip
rotary power/volume thumbwheel
BIG display
these units were originally sold as a pair for about $80 or so. they're
nice rugged little radios with a rubberized tan exterior, white speaker
grill and orange buttons. I'm including with each pair a RS fast charger
that will charge both radios (either NiCD or NiMH) in about 2.5 hours
then goes into stand-by mode to not over-charge. These chargers sold
separately for about $25. each pair has operating manual.
Here's the deal: one pair w/charger: $40. Two pairs w/2 chargers: $75.
All six that I have, along with 3 chargers: $100. Once again, first
reply gets whatever they want from this lot.
I'd like to thank those of you who responded to my previous clean-out.
There are more radios coming up for sale as I scour the decks...
Regards,
Dave KB3JRJ / WPXG488
