There are 4 missions defined at this time. If you can volunteer for
any of these missions, please let me know and include the time you
would be available.

1) Support for RFK Stadium - watching the crowd for medical emergencies

Communications Unit Leader is Jack Gunther, KB3KKY.
This is a general request for ANY amateur radio operator. The MDC
section needs 20-30 operators for shifts at the RFK parking lot on
January 20 to be the eyes and ears in the crowd looking for medical
emergencies as 10,000 (yes, 10,000) buses are expected to be parked
there and their passengers transfered to shuttles to the Mall and
other locations. The first shift starts at 0400. Dual-band HTs and
spare batteries are the only radio requirements. You will be outside,
so dress appropriately.

2) Shelter Support - Evening of 1/20 (if needed)

Communications Unit Leader is Jack Gunther, KB3KKY.
At this point, shelters are a very real possibility around the region
resulting from everything from a bus crash to people being "in limbo"
in their attempts to get out of the District. If shelters are
required, we could get very little notice to provide operators.
Dual-band HTs and spare batteries will be required.

3) Prince George's County Hospital Support

Communications Unit Leader is Dan Blasberg, KA8YPY.
We will probably be asked to man all six of them for the day. This
will be a two person detail for each shift (TBD), no equipment is
neccesary.

4) City of Laurel Command Post & CERT / Community Police Support

Communications Unit Leader is Jim Cross, WI3N.
The city of Laurel has asked for amateur radio support on Tuesday the
20th from 0430 - 1700 (or possibly later) to man their mobile command
post as well as several portable folks to be with their CERT /
Community Police Auxillery at the commuter station in Laurel. A
dual-band HT with a spare battery will be required. Shifts TBD.
