GREAT !! I was on a while earlier copying rtty but didn't hear any Olivia. Compared to teletype I think Olivia is a dream.

I know we all keep saying 'when the bands open up', but, when the bands open up the interference will be the big problem as the bands shift coverage areas, what may be open to Africa during one exchange may be open to Europe on the next go round but that usually starts to happen around sunrise or sunset and much worse on 15 but often does happen during the day, its always dark/light somehwhere.

Thanks,

Take care,

Just worked, sort of, my first DX station with Olivia on 20 meters, 14.107.50. HB9TPL Daniel, in Evolene, a small village in Switzerland on the Italian border. We exchanged names, QTH's, grids, station equipment, and signal reports and then the band just closed, bummer. HB9TPL is on QRZ.com for info.

Him using 80 watts and a simple dipole hanging from two trees and me using 55 watts and a 20 meter, 20 ft., shortened dipole sloping from a TV tower to the ground.
