Hey All:
I have a set of very nice PF Collier encyclopedias and two shelves for them to give to a good home.
With the computer age, we don't use them.?
Thanks,
Jolene

Subject: FS: A few odds and ends...
Radio people: Thanks to those who helped me "thin the herd" of my extensive frs / gmrs collection. Here are a few odds and ends I've come across that might be of interest to someone:?
?
1: A little mp3 player, about the size of my thumb, from SanDisk. The Sansa m230 holds 512Mb of info, and plugs into your computer via the included USB cable. Very intuitive interface, powered by a replaceable AAA battery. Built-in FM receiver and voice recorder. That's right, this thing has a little mic on the side, and is very handy for leaving yourself a short note, or a series of notes. Can also be used to store whatever kind of files you choose - think of it as a 512Mb thmb-drive if you like. Drag-and-drop music, podcasts, whatever. 1/8" headphone jack for the included phones (earbud-type). A really neat little pseudo-iPod. Some key points: 512Mb storage, you can change the battery, voice recorder, easy to use. $15.?
?
2. In a similar vein to number 1 above, this is another little mp3 player. Only 128Mb, but with very similar capabilities, this is from a company called "MyMusix". This one plugs directly into a USB port, and I'm including a short USB M-F cable if you don't have a spare port handy. $10.?
?
3. Scanner, and I mean the kind with the piece of glass that you use to scan pictures or documents. Canon "CanoScan N1220U" will handle up to A4 sized documents, and is about 1" thick. Single-button operation, no separate power adapter [powered through USB connection]. Very fast, I think 1200dpi. Good color imaging. Comes with USB cable, CD-ROM disc w/software and drivers for Windows & Mac, including OCR software. I used this scanner for years and years until I got an all-in-one. How about $25??
?
4. Magazines, magazines, magazines. Here's what I have to get rid of:?
CQ Amateur Radio: Aug 07, Jan 08, Feb 08, Apr 08, May 08, Jun 08, Jul 08, Aug 08, Sep 08, Oct 08, Nov 08, Dec 08.?
WorldRadio: Jan 08?
QST: Apr 07, every month of 08.?
Popular Communications: Sep 08, Oct 08.?
Monitoring Times: Apr 07, May 07, Jun 07, Jul 07, Spt 07, Nov 07, Jan 08, Feb 08, Mar 08, Oct 08.?

Any / all mags free to a good home; I just need the space.?
?
That's it for now. As before, first reply gets the goods.?
?
Regards,?
