[FARC] FARC Meeting Reminder - Monday 9/15 - 7 PM

Remember, the September Frederick Amateur Radio Club meeting is coming up:

Monday, September 15th, 7:00 PM sharp at the Independent Hose Company 
fire station on Baughmans Lane in Frederick. 

This month we will be having a wide-ranging discussion covering a number 
of important FARC matters that need your focus and input.

Topics include our Father's Day Hamfest, Ham license training and 
testing in Frederick County, Ham Radio outreach and awareness efforts in 
Frederick County, and a number of other topics that are important to the 
future health and growth of both our Club and Ham Radio in our area.

I'll also bring my cool new (to me) SGC-237 antenna coupler, along with 
a quick and dirty loop antenna that can be used to get on the air 
quickly with the coupler, from just about anywhere.  Time permitting, 
we'll have a show-and-tell discussion that may be of interest to 
antenna-restricted Hams who'd like to be active on a number of HF bands.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! 

If the foregoing agenda is not quite enough to pry you from your home 
QTH and over to IHC on Monday evening, we'll also be having a drawing 
for two tickets (including parking) to the 2008 Great Frederick Fair, 
which runs for the rest of this week.
