[FARC] Digital Problems

There are a lot of dud USB to Serial converters out there.  It is hard
to tell by brand as they can vary model to model.  I've never used it
but I heard that this one worked well for ham applications:

I really want to get one of these:

It is the top of the top of the line but it comes with a top of the
line price too!
