Hi Boys and Girls-

The Cheese Hollow Amateur Radio Society has announced the availability 
of a new amateur radio award available to those up to the Challenge.

This new award is called the U.S. Historic Parks Award.

Rules are based on the KISS Principle, (Keep It Simple).

ANY PARK MAY BE USED, State or National as long as its verified as 
having a History Link via the internet.  25 Parks worked are needed for
this Award.

Stations worked may be fixed, mobile, or portable in the park.

There are no time restrictions. Past Contacts Count so long as the 
Historic Park is named on the QSL.

The award is a basic award and is not restricted to any band, any one 
particular net, or any specific mode. Just work and confirm 25 Historic 
US Parks.

This award shall have a fee of $5 covering postage and printing.

Applicants shall submit either of the following-
1) Your qsls with return postage
       or (preferred)
2.) A list of contacts submitted under the General Certification Rule of 
2 hams certify they have seen the cards, or CHARS will accept the 
certification of any ARRL Authorized Card Checker or an awards manager from any 
recognized Club with its own awards program (i.e., OMISS, Century Club, 
YL System, 10-10, etc)

In case you are curious, the new award has been designed by WA3EOP 
famous for his "Colorful Found The Elephants Award" and this award is photo
filled as well.

Completed applications (homebrew your own form) with FEEs and QSLs if 
presented, should be mailed to CHARS AWARD, (W3HAM), 22613 Stevenson 
Road, Smithsburg, MD 21783.
