[FARC] APRS Maps

Does anyone have any information or experience using the mapping software package Delorme Street Atlas USA with APRS software UI-View ?  I am looking for specific information on where to get it, how to install it, and most importantly making it work with UI-View without having to get into the innards of a PC.   

Of course, the UI-View website recommends using its Pmapserver with Precision Mapping Streets and Traveler mapping software and I've done this with a small measure of success, but the install is so convoluted as to make it a nightmare to work with and to pass along to other interested APRS users.    

I also welcome any suggestions on using APRS and mapping software other than UI-View that doesn't involve installing additional operating systems or working with the computer on the operating system registry level in order to install it.   I know this may violate somewhat the Ham radio ethos but setting up a home APRS station shouldn't have to be this difficult.
