[FARC] eBay and used radios

A Kenwood TS-711A recently sold on eBay for $1575.00.  This radio is a
pretty good 25 watt 2 meter all mode rig from the 1980s and is worth
about $500 give or take.  Maybe a little more on eBay.

Considering you can get an Icom IC-910h, a dual band all mode rig with
100w on 2M and 75 on 70cm, brand new for about $1300.  I'd say someone
really over paid for this TS-711A.

Keep this in mind when bidding on radios.  Have a good idea what it is
worth first and don't over pay.  In general, I've found that eBay is a
great place to find 2nd hand radio accessories, but folks tend to bid
the actual rigs up too high.
