Dick, I've been on AIRMAIL all day today and I only encountered 2 times when I couldn't connect.  I have my AIRMAIL packet client set to connect automatically every 30 minutes.  Since we had just about every type of precip there is today, I think that is pretty good.  Currently I have icing conditions here on Ridge Road Braddock and there was a wintry mix all day.  I think you have the connection problems pretty much solved so with crossed-fingers congrats.
