That's right Bob.  I will be operating (and in need of operators) from our
CLUB STATION located adjacent to the Frederick County MVA and Law
Enforcement Center (BOWMAN's FARM ROAD extended).  It's about a mile beyond
the MVA on Bowman's Farm Road and is currently hidden from view by the corn
crop.  If you are interested in operating and would like to chance to try it
out-- come on out!

A good opportunity to get on the air is coming up this weekend: The 
Maryland-DC QSO Party.

It runs from Noon to Midnight local time on Saturday, Aug. 9th, and 
picks up again from Noon to 23:59 local time on Sunday, Aug. 10th.

All modes and all bands except for 60m are in play, so just about anyone 
can participate, even if "all" you have right now is a 2m HT.  (Contacts 
must be simplex to count for points; repeater contacts don't count.)

Even if you're not in the contest for points, you can help those who are 
by getting on the air, however briefly, during the contest.

Eric N8AAY noted earlier that he'd be out at the FARC club station 
during the contest, so perhaps he'll come back with his planned 
operating time(s) for anyone who wants to join in out there.
