That does looks like a very good price given the specs, and with only $5 
for shipping, it's a bargain.  If used to drive a decent power supply, 
plugged into a decent surge protector, there shouldn't be any problem 
driving Ham gear.  Plus it could come in handy at home for giving the 
the fridge or freezer an occasional shot of 110V during an extended 
power outage.  I believe 2KW plus surge capability should handle that 
pretty well (one at a time).
