Kirk,

Let's try this the easy way. As Joe NE3R has pointed out, this past weekend
was the Michigan QSO Party.

Typically with ARRL membership, you are also entitled to the ARRL "members"
sections at www.arrl.org.
Under "Operating Activities" / "Contests" the league posts many of these
events, but not all.

Look at the rules as posted on the Mad River Radio Clubs (sponsor) website:
 http://www.miqp.org/Rules.htm

5) Contest Exchange:
Michigan stations send... sequential serial # (three digits) plus their
Michigan county
Non-Michigan W/VE stations send...sequential serial # (three digits) and
their state/providence
Stations outside of US & Canada send...sequential serial # (three digits)
and "DX"

Working these various QSO parties is a great way to jump your WAS and 5BWAS
totals.
If you have a interest in participation in these events I will be glad to
talk with you more.
The annual June "Field Day" weekend is a great training contest. I bet the
FARC club would welcome your time to operate the station.

Regards,
K3SKE
Dan
