[FARC] Would you approve...

Josh,
I know I sound like a broken record sometimes, but I just want to make
the point that folks should at least check with KJI before they buy
elsewhere. If he knows you're a FARC member or supporter, he'll usually
go out of his way to make the deal attractive.

Have you called KJI? If not, and if you're going only by what's on his
web site, you may not be seeing the real bottom line price after
"coupons" and dealer and/or buyer rebates are taken into account.

Having said all that, once you've checked around, you've still got to
give due consideration to price and service issues and go with what
seems like the best all-round deal. Although I make a point of checking
with KJI on any major purchase, I'll still buy elsewhere if Gene doesn't
have/can't get what I need or just can't meet a rock-bottom price that
some other dealer is able to offer, for whatever reason.

I've dealt with all the major dealers and some of the garage operations
as well, and must say I've never had a delivery or service issue with
any of them -- on new equipment, that is, where equipment condition and
warranty status are known quantities. But in spite of my own good
experiences with various dealers, horror stories for almost all of them
abound. It's tough to please everyone all the time...

Good luck with your new rig, wherever you get it!

73, Bob K9CMR

p.s. Regarding the term "broken record", you may not be old enough to
have ever seen a "record", so the term may be meaningless to you. One
of us old folks can explain as needed. ;-)
