Meeting Minutes
Wednesday October 10, 2007

The meeting was held at the Prince George’s County
Fire and Emergency Services Building in Landover,
Maryland.  William Hatfield, W3QX Executive
Vice-President called the meeting to order at 8:01
p.m.

Six people attended the meeting.

Secretary Report:

Report given, motion to pass by Hugh Katz, K3HU and
2nd by Morris Brown, KA3PZE, motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report:

Report Given, by John Chitwood, K3RGB, Still have
outstanding checks of Scholarship recipients once the
checks have cleared and books reconciled they will be
turned over by Hugh Turnbull, W3ABC, John opened a
payapl account on behalf of the Foundation for the MDC
Section convention. A lengthy Payapl discussion
followed.  Motion to pass report by Gary Hendrickson,
W3DTN and 2nd by Morris Chitwood, KA3PZE. Motion
Carried.

Executive Vice President’s Report:

Discussion on making change on FAR’s prescience on the
web. Will be moving out web host and it will not be
free. There should be no domain name changes. Had
lengthy discussion on what web site should contain and
how operational costs should or should not be split
between FAR general account and scholarship account
followed. No decisions were made.


Scholarship Committee Report:

John Chitwood, W3RGB reports: Committee met end of
August and discussed changes to the application form.
A new committee member was accepted, (secretary note:
missed who it was). This years schedule will be
accelerated with cut off date of May 1 instead of June
1.

No ARRL Report was given.

Fundraising Report:

Nov 11th Maryland DC Section Convention will be held
at the Armed Forces Retirement  Home in Washington, DC
Information is on the ARRL Maryland/DC web sight and
Al Brown is maintaining the web page.

Old Business:

New Business:

Nominating Committee was established – Morris Brown
will chair.

Nov 11th MDC Section Convention

Jan 23rd BARC It’s Free Mini-Fest

Motion to adjourn was made by Morris, KA3PZE and
seconded by Gary, W3DTN at 9:32 p.m. Motion carried.

The next Foundation for Amateur Radio meeting is
scheduled for Wednesday December 12th, 2007 beginning
at 8 p.m. The meeting location will be the Prince
George’s County Fire and Emergency Services Building
in Landover, Maryland
