[FARC] Air and Space field trip

Greetings Fellow Communicators,

A group of Frederick area hams are planning a field trip to the Smithsonian
Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Facility at Dulles on Sat., Feb. 21. We will
meet to carpool at the Frederick Costco parking lot (near the gas pumps) at
0945 and plan to leave at 1000. There is no cost other than splitting gas
costs and parking at the museum. You might also consider having breakfast
with the Madxra folks at the Myersville fire hall (beginning at 0800) prior
to the trip.

 If you have never been to the new museum, you are in for a treat. The new
Mars IMAX film just opened, and there are lots of flying machines on display
including the Enola Gay, SR 71, and space shuttle Enterprise. This trip is
unofficially sponsored by the Frederick Amateur Radio Club, but everyone is
invited. If the weather is iffy, a go/no go decision will be made by 0800
and word will go out on the reflectors, or monitor the 147.060 Madxra
repeater.
