Subject: Fall-Fest 2004 Cancelled

It has been decided by the leadership of FAR and CARA to cancel
Fall-Fest 2004 do to lack of volunteer participation on the part of the
Foundation for Amateur Radio.

While the Columbia ARA is ready and willing to support this event. It
is very apparent that there appears to be no support for this event
from the member clubs of the Foundation or their respective members. Do
to this lack of support the Foundation has been able to provide two
members to the planning committee to the Columbia ARA's 4, this clearly
is not fair to the Columbia ARA, nor is it fair to the two lone
representative from the Foundation to carry the burden of a project of
this magnitude and scope.

If at some point the Foundation does happen to get any support from its
member clubs pursuant to the Foundation by-laws and the membership
sheet that all club officers have signed, then the Foundation will be
more than happy to continue with this event.
