[FARC] Monthly meetings

First of all, let me say "hi" to everyone in my first post to this list as
the current FARC president. Thank you to the previous group of officers for
many years of operating the club well and I am confident that the present
slate will continue the traditions.

Second, we really do need someone to step forward and volunteer to run for
election to the position of Secretary. Carolyn graciously volunteered to
extend her term for a short period to give time for other members to
reconsider and step forward, but we do need to give her a break. She will
continue to head the hamfest committee, so we need someone to step up to
the club's secretarial duties. PLEASE.

Third, at the last club meeting we finalized the process of changing our
club meeting location and DATE!

We will be moving our meetings to the CAP facilities near the airport.
Therefore, we must change our traditional meeting date, though the time
will remain the same.

>From this point forward, the FARC will now be meeting on the THIRD
WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH, at the CAP facilities. Same time, different date,
different place. This change will hopefully be in place for a while and
will afford us the opportunity to set up permanent operating facilities. My
thanks to those who helped put this all together and to steer the process
over the past many months. Directions and a map to the new location will be
on the club's web site.
