SIMULATED EMERGENCY TEST (SET) WILL BE CONDUCTED OVER THE WEEKEND OF
SATURDAY/SUNDAY OCTOBER 4/5, 2003.  Most probably on SUNDAY OCTOBER 5th.


 

This test of the Maryland/District of Columbia Emergency Response Plan
(ERP) represents a full activation the ERP plan.  ALL OPERATORS ARE
ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN SOME MANNER OR OTHER!

 

Skill and knowledge set for SET is as follows:     NTS message handling,
Directed Net operation (checking into a directed net) and also Net
Control function.  

 

In support of the SET in OCTOBER there will be a partial activation,
used as ERP training on SATURDAY AUGUST 23 at 12 noon local time.  This
support operation should last about 2 hours and is only on VHF.  SET
will last 4 to 6 hours and use multiple bands.
