[FARC] FARC Picnic Meeting

All: This is a reminder that the monthly meeting of the Frederick Amateur 
Radio Club will be Saturday, July 13, 2002, at 1 PM.  The usual meeting on 
the 2'nd Tuesday is changed for this month only.

The picnic will be held at the Civil Air Patrol building on Bowman's Farm 
Road.  Go the Motor Vehicle Administration building (where people go for 
driver's license) and continue on the road that passes IN FRONT of the 
building.  That road continues for about 1/4 mile and terminates into a 
circle. There is a brick rambler situated a few hundred feet off the roadway 
(toward the airport).  The drive to the barn and house is evident.

PLEASE respond via email or call me (301-662-6557) before the 13'th so I can 
plan for the drinks (provided by the club) and attempt to coordinate what you 
may bring.  It is suggested you bring enough food for yourself and to share 
with a few other folks.  A variety is what I hope to achieve. 

Don't forget your plate, knife/fork/spoon, napkin, etc.  I hope to be able to 
let the members tour the CAP building as they have contacted the club for 
potential future cooperation between the two organizations.  I do not have 
all the particulars yet as to what CAP is proposing to the club, and I may 
not have that information by the 13'th.  But having our picnic meeting at the 
facility will give everyone an opportunity to at least see where it is and 
the surrounding "countryside".
