[FARC] Fall Fest Volunteers Needed

I received the following request for volunteers from Chuck, K3CRD, the
Fall Fest volunteer coordinator.

You can volunteer to help at the Hamfest for a couple of hours and get
free admission to the Hamfest!

301-831-5060, or contact Chuck directly as given below.  If you contact
Chuck directly, please let him know that you are representing the
Frederick Amateur Radio Club.

As you may know, the Foundation for Amateur Radio
(FAR) has combined efforts this year with the Columbia
Amateur Radio Association (CARA) for its annual
hamfest known as Fall-Fest 2002.  The event will be
held this year on Saturday and Sunday, September 7th
and 8th at the Howard County fairgrounds.  Proceeds
and workload are to be split between the two
organizations.

I am contacting you because your name was listed as a
contact for your club, which is a member club of FAR. 
As a member club, we are hoping that you will be able
to support the foundation by publicizing the event
among your members and contributing volunteers for the
event.  We want FAR to hold up its end of the deal and
we look to you to help us do that.  Of course,
complimentary tickets are available to those who
volunteer for a minimum of two hours.

Would you be willing to contact some members of your
club and provide us with about 5-6 volunteers for
Saturday or Sunday?  We can use people to sell
tickets, park cars, and provide relief to other
volunteers.  At this time, I could especially use a
few individuals who would be willing to accept
responsibility for distributing prizes, and
coordinating the main and tailgate parking operations.
