Good Afternoon all,

  We have been out of the office for a week due to training staff for the State on interoperability equipment and data pods.  So I have not had the time to work on the GNV switch upgrade.  GNV switch is still operational using the old PC, will work on the ISO file this week and see if I can get it loaded in the new PC for Charlie to upgrade, the last copy said I had junk in my compressed file (grin).

  Hope to see an update on the test of the 80 dollar data devices, working on a recommendation for a larger project outside of our state for Amateur Radio data radios, and recommendations of specific data radios that do 9600 out of the box is requested, these radios will be in cache cases to be issued out, presently there is a prototype already in service.  Model, manufacturer, and specific data ratings of off the shelf radios, and if the radio can do 9600 on both VHF and UHF in the same radio is requested.

  Nothing else to add this week, have to catch up on the email and paperwork and get the switch project rolling, my shop is a mess trying to get ready for summer time projects.  Have a mapping code from England to convert lon-lat to KML for Google Earth and if it works I can have our resources available via the web coming soon for a backup, still testing the conversion method of it to see if it is accurate.

 Don't forget there's a hamfest here in Gainesville on April 24 & 25.
