[FADCA] Security guidelines

Well, maybe some new blood will help with that. Who knows. Time will tell.
But we do need to look into other possibilities, that is for sure. Not just
one idea.
BUT WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IT. No personal attacks, no heated
discussions,
None of this "I'll take my toys and go home" issues.
I saw two problems with the presidents email. The words "professional" and
"INET".
This IS "Amateur and RADIO". If a professional network is needed, this isn't
the place. Being in the telecom
business, I can tell you unless you're doing RF or microwave backhaul,
during a storm your comms will be down
allot of the time. I don't care if the site is hardened or not. I have close
to 22,000 hardened tower sites
in the US with carriers all over them and we see how well they work in a
storm. They don't. Now their idea is
Fiber to everything and all will be OK. I don't think that will save the day
either.
To me (High Speed) RF is the way to go. Just my opinion.

Dave/all,
As you can see our new FADCA President is not a strong leader and has no
plan at all for moving toward the future. FADCA plan is to continue
shoving Winlink down our throat.
So I will move on and continue to watch FADCA deteriorate like it has
been for many years.
As far as a re-development plan I may consider this, but it's probably a
waste of my time.
