I have a Lenovo s10, I played with the XP HE until I got tired of Home Edition
"features" and pulled the HD, replaced it with another and put Ubuntu 9.04.
Now it really screams. Indeed I am using the Compiz desktop on it, that
really drives people crazy when I do a presentation with the thing as I will
have stuff up of the different desk tops and just rotate the cube to the one
of interest. The final mind blower is when I want to navigate to a face (desk
top) that is not adjacent, to the one in use, I just grab the whole desktop and
start to rotate, at that point the whole cube becomes visible and I just rotate
to the distant one. At times I will have a lot of stuff going on so I
will have as
many as 6 desktops, at this point the object is a hexagon, it is a lot of fun
and if it can run Compiz without herkyjerky it can do a switch and access
point. Indeed I use it to watch movies, it is better than my Lenovo T60
(corporate issue) running XP Pro. One the T60 when I watch a movie I see
little jerks as the whole thing stops for a couple of frames every once in a
while, on the S10, using both VLC and whatever the standard issue player
is under Ubuntu it is smooth with very nice video. I know if it can do that it
can handle a switch/access port function.
