I saw my name in this post!
Hi, Dave - that is good news.
I'm presently on an extended absence from Florida and won't be back until
early August. Now that we have the Orlando switch moved to Orlando Job# 1
when I get back is to clean up the link from Orlando to Melbourne. Job#2 is
to get the DAB (Ormond) site converted from ROSE to Linux FPAC.
Charlie AI4RI has the laptop and KPC-9612 configured for a Linux switch to
test at DAB. The plan was to find a Wi-Fi and use a 'tunneling' technique,
but we didn't get around to testing it before I left town. Charlie might be
able to take the test gear up there and try to see if your Yagi will make
the path! We presently have a 'flat plate' 2. GHz antenna installed pointed
south. (I think it is 15db) That can be replaced with whatever might be
needed for a direct link to you.
The GE Rangrs for the final change over are ready to go but are still at my
house.
