Keating,

I don't have anything to contribute to your class but would like to know
more about it off the list.

Could you contact me: kd4yal at tampabay.rr.com

Subject: [FADCA] New Class in Development

Hi, all.

A team of us in Tampa are designing a "missing link" 2-day class, for new
(and old?) ham operators who got their licenses, but didn't get any (or not
much...) ham radio operating knowledge and experience, or those who only got
"taught to the test."

The essential idea here is that we will manage each topic as follows:

1) Introduce the topic in an umbrella overview of ham radio
2) Provide a detailed explanation/lecture about each topic
3) Have someone demonstrate each topic
4) Provide hands-on opportunity to play with each topic

One of the important topics we'd like to cover is digital activities, of
course.

Does anyone have a powerpoint or outline by way of introduction to digital
communications (not just packet, although that would be a good starting
point, certianly!) that we could canabalize or build from?

A 1-hour detailed (hah - like one could do this in an hour, I get it...)
presentation would be really splendid, as well.

Proper credit will of course be given.

Anyone up for this?

Thanks, all.

Take care,

Keating
