Technical Tips:

Fpac/ROSE and (X)net can run on the same Linux Node at the same time and can be used to complement an existing Fpac Node due to some of more advanced features.

It can provide more reliable service.

Here is an example: http://xnet.k2bjg.ampr.org/ this link is available via RF, Amprnet, and also the Internet. So there are many different way you can see
the status of your Node.

This same node can also allow keyboard input via RF, Amprnet, and also the Internet using “telnet xnet.k2bjg.ampr.org” or “c k2bjg-5” from Rose or anther Flex node if our networks were not so fragmented.

This would be a big plus to emergency responders who could also send email and Faxes via RF, Amprnet, and also the Internet from the same Node. This could be done without 3 party assistance and would cut out the middle man and be more reliable service.

I had to use Bob’s (K2BJG) Node because Fpac crash my system over night and
is currently down.

Bob, thanks for providing a reliable service.

(X)net is not Flexnet that run on DOS but does support Flex protocol which makes it a very powerful smart ax.25 router.
