I have it running on Debian (Knoppix 3.7 - 5.1.1) and Mandriva Free 
2007. That includes kernels 2.4.27 thru 2.6.19). The binaries were 
compiled under 2.4.27 and continue to be trouble.

Since German is my second language I dropped in on the DB0LJ website.
Hans has a bunch of links there and I ended up on a Sysyop's forum.
