By the way I remember a discussion about starting node failure.
Here I have removed all -d flag (default route) in ax25ipd.conf as I
found that ax25ipd failed when the remote node was off in that case.

Also, complete network errors return were not handled by AX25 since the
last 7 patches from Ralf DL5RB. They should be applied to 2.6 kernels.
Here I patched 2.6.18.5 and 2.6.19.1 and 2.6.19.2 kernels.

There are two flags d & b
d sets this route as the default.
b sets this route to broadcast NetBomb info.
