Any of you guys going to be back tomorrow? I should have something called
User Mode Linux up and running, this is (or are if there is more than one)
a virtual machine running on top of a host linux box. It will allow you to test
stuff out, and if it locks up something or does other fatal things it
all happens
inside the VM and all you do is re-boot the VM. You do not have to wait for
the hardware to respond as the VM emulates any needed hardware, also
you can go in and look at the bits and pieces of the damage with greater ease
if you run a test system as a VM rather than a stand alone machine.
