Did you by any chance check to see if the rcv xtal might
be off freq. ?? using the station metering unit...

I do not have my Micor 350 watt book in the computer room
but I would say the xtal has slipped to the left or right
just a snudge...

Subject: [FADCA] Micor Experts?

Do we have any UHF Micor experts in the group? While the radio is in use on
our local repeater, I am sure the theory should be similar.

We thought that the controller was acting up, but we changed it to no avail.
The problem we have noticed is the radio appears to shut off the PA if the
receive signal is over driven. Out put power drops from 40 watts down to 250
MW when this occurs. Let the repeater reset and it is fine again. I can make
the repeater do this time and time again by just opening the squelch. I can
only assume that the white noise is over driving what ever is causing the
problem. I nice "clean" full quieting signal that is not over driven (I have
not determined how much over driven is) works each and every time. Voice
announcements generated by the controller or ID's work every time as well.

Any thoughts are welcome,

Doug/KN4YT
