I believe Bill's concern was "lock ups". His System would freeze for no
apparent reason when stressed. It would run for days with low usage, but
freeze when his tfc count got high. The problem only appeared with high
rf port activity.
Bill was investigating two aspects of the rf ports. The first was shared
IRQs and the second was timeing values. Bernard was assisting Bill in
assigning seperate IRQs for each of his ports and sorting out a problem
with the driver for his PCI card. The timeing thing was never explored
to any degree. We have accepted "cookbook" values from Documentation. In
several instances Bernard has pointed out Odd values ... mostely caused
by typos.
From the term printout it is hard to say what caused your disconnect.
A printout from Listen would give a better idea as to what happened.
I will be out of the country for a couple of days. When I return I plan
to take up the invesigation with Bernard. I am in the process of setting
up my development system so that Bernard can continue the work he was
doing with Bill.
