Since Bill's passing I've sort-ah lost my focus.
I haven't done anything of note to the FADCA CD.
I thought I'd try another approch to the system and try and get
my mind back into the project. I downloaded Debian's net-install
CD. The ISO is less than 200 Mb. This is the Official Debian release to
install the "Stable" version. It turns out to be kernel 2.4.27-2.
The install is a real slick application. Just a half hour and you have a
basic system installed on the HD. The rest of the "stuff" is selected
from a menu. The install program then and downloads and installs the
rest via Apititude. The process takes two days via dial-up and the
system ends up looking like Knoppix 3.7. It is definately easier/faster
to use the FADCA CD.
I'm debateing over moving on to the "Testing" version and use Knoppix
3.8.2.
