[FADCA] NF ARRL Section Manager Elections in Apirl

In early April ARRL members in the North Florida ARRL Section will be
receiving ballots for the Section Manager election.

I encourage all to fill out the ballot and return it so that a high
percentage of eligible members will have determined the outcome rather than
only a handful who took the time.  I also encourage you to evaluate the two
candidates and make an informed decision.

Here is my position -

Digital messaging in support of EMCOMMs has become an issue in this election
primarily due to the current SM Rudy Hubbard's (WA4PUP) not having the
'vision.'  It appears that Rudy is willing to settle for voice operations
for all messaging, relegating "digital" to APRS positioning.

Rudy is opposed by Dale Sewell, N4SGQ whose main draw may be that at one
time he was fired from his appointment by Rudy as NF Section Emergency
Coordinator because Dale wanted to modernize Amateur Radio EMCOMMs in North
Florida!  Dale was on packet in 'the good ole daze." He supports a Telpac
Node in Pensacola.
