Awww.... you take all the fun out of learning! For me with my new toy and
users!

We certainly need back up Telpac nodes on the LANs in case the Linux switch
looses internet connection... or perhaps we could have the Linux re-direct
to one of the Telpac nodes on the LAN if internet connection is lost.

With the advent of the Linux-based Telpac we certainly don't need near as
many other TelPacs out on the LANs as we originally thought -that is for
sure, but we certainly need some. Some of those need to be reasonably
accessible w/o going through the LAN switch in case the entire switch is
down. For the most part those would be at EOCs which are generally more
hardened than hams' QTHs.

I'll clean up my act on my new toy, - but likely wait until after
Hamcation - I'm a tad gun-shy this close.

By the way - in the past week this Linux FPAC has stopped running twice!
Once just about 20 minutes ago (about 1040 Feb 7) - the monitor would not
show anything, Putty on my Windows machine could not get in, and no response
to RF connects.... Rebooted okay. Last Friday I found the computer OFF!
I'd really rather blame one of the cats for having tripped on the AC cord
than the computer!
