I have been doing some testing - Today and a good part of Sunday.
Two things I've discovered:

1. Entries in ax25d.conf for the axip port have NO effect.
    I tested ax25 & ROSE connects - trying to stear connects for my
    telpac node - they continue to go to the default port.
    I deleted ALL entries for port 9 (axip) and it continues to respond
    to connect requests to k4gbb-8/9 (FPAC).

2. ALL ports will respond to connects to the FPAC node reguardless of
    the lack of an entry in ax25d.conf for the port/call-ssid.
    The F6FBB BBS is the same way.
