Playing with Knoppix and want to add a USB adaptor to your serial ports
inventory?

I was messing about showing Bill Sinbine the USB View utility and
discovered this:

Under the main menu /utilities/tools/ is a entry for usbview.
Click on the entry and it will show all usb hubs/devices on the system.
If there is a serial device, highlight it and click on the Configure
button underneath.
It will pop up a dialog box with an entry - something like /proc/../usb/
Click OK and the box will close.

I found that if I close USBview and type the kissattach and kissparms
cmd lines it will attach the /dev/ttyUSB0 to a port and set the parms.
I was then able to get a response from the tnc with the calibrate cmd.

NOW... the next question is -
is this a perminite configuration or will it go away when I reboot?
If it does go away.. how do I get it back via a script?
