I am presently playing around with the use of the aliases on linux fpac,
at this time if you come on the lan freq and issue a simple command to
w4dph, you will be connected to the w4dph bbs through the network,
if you issue a connect to w4min, it will connect you to the w4min bbs
down in Arcadia. Simple and looks like you can put in whatever you
want.
In addition to the aliases you have applications, you can associate a
call or something that will pass as a call and connect to it, that is how
Telpac is handled, it is a application which a connect to kp4djt-10
creates a pipe between the ax25 piece and the telpac piece (ax25
to telnet really) the telpac application just takes care of getting the
right data to the server on the far end when the connection comes
in.
Also I have discovered a lot of interesting stuff in /proc/net indeed I have
added two commands to the switch that dump data out of proc files,
the data deals with networking info that I thought was missing, it was
not I just had to dig it out. About the only thing that I have not been able
to get is the path, DOS fpac showed the path that was used to get to
the destination

out and having to identify your bits and pieces in the midst of torn
