Dave,
Most of the stuff you are probably looking for is already built into Linux.
The AX25 stuff is part of the kernel.

BLOWTORCH ON....
Dave this is not aimed at you, but at all of us (me included because I have
4 fingers aimed back at me for the one I am pointing)

FOLKS LET US KEEP ALL OF THIS STUFF ON THE LIST, THAT WAY WE
ALL CAN KEEP TRACK OF IT.

HONESTLY I GET TIRED OF REPEATING STUFF BECAUSE WE ARE DOING
TO MUCH --- OFF LIST STUFF--- WE HAVE A LOT OF BRIGHT MINDS --- A
LOOOTTT BETTER THAN MINE THAT ARE OUT THERE WANTING TO HELP
LIKE DAVE AND ARE LOOKING TO FIND OUT WHAT WE ARE DISCUSSING.

LET US QUIT ALL OF THIS SIDE BAR AND OFF LIST STUFF SO THAT THERE
IS AT LEAST THE COMMON REPOSITORIES OF THE FADCA AND FPAC LIST.

IF WE HAD SEVERAL MEGS OF DATA GOING ACROSS THE LIST I WOULD
SAY THAT PERHAPS IT SHOULD GO ELSEWHERE, BUT MOST DAYS THERE
IS NOTHING, NADA, ZERO, ZILCH SO A LITTLE TECHNICAL STUFF ON THERE
SHOULD NOT HURT AND IF IT DOES THEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH
A HAM TICKET IN YOUR POCKET??

TORCH off...

Now then Dave tell us what you need and I we go back through all of the off list
stuff and find out what you missed because we have been doing so much of it
and I will send it to you ON LIST so that all will have it in front of them.

Folks let us help these people by keeping the information on the list so that it
is easier to get to after all this is not state secrets and we all
want to make this
stuff work.
We have had off list stuff on the following
WL2K and TelPac... That should be on the list, the same questions will come up
      again.
FPAC Linux.... Same thing I have a load of off list stuff that is VERY IMPORTANT
to others who will soon be going down the same road and I have been as at
fault as anyone else about not moving it ON LIST (those other 4 fingers).
AXIP .... Same thing we have been doing it off list, let us get it
back on list where it
belongs, if anyone gets huffy about it go and start a coffee
klatch list and take
your stuff there, we are here to make all this fun stuff work
and not hide it from
      anyone.

Again, Dave that was not aimed at you, it was aimed and me and my cohorts in
crime that have been discussing this stuff relentlessly off list. Guys
give him a hand
and keep it on list, also if you think a question is too 'stupid' for
the list and want to
sidebar it, look at my signature real hard, I almost learned that the
hardway so if
anyone even thinks a question is stupid take it up with me because in
my view there
is no such animal, if you have a question it is NOT stupid but let us
all see it as
there may be more than one who can answer it, so KEEP IT ON LIST.

Sorry it I am a bit short here, but I do not believe in secrets unless
it deals with
your personal life then I probably do not want to know about it, let
us try to keep
things as visible to all as possible so that people can get the
information without
having to pry it out of us. It is a lot easier for me to search back
on list stuff than
it is to look through non-list stuff...

By way Bernard sent a nice short script to take care of the axip and dynamic
address alocations, I will get it tested here in the next few days and get Bill
on line 24x7, the we will get Charlie on line and get those bits and
pieces linked.
