Here is the attach statement that attaches the device and it is addressed
to the loopback.
/usr/sbin/kissattach -m 1580 /dev/ptyq0 9 127.0.0.1
sleep 1
echo 50 > /proc/sys/net/ax25/ax0/t1_timeout
echo 15 > /proc/sys/net/ax25/ax0/t2_timeout
echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ax25/ax0/t3_timeout
echo 3 > /proc/sys/net/ax25/ax0/maximum_retry_count
echo 7 > /proc/sys/net/ax25/ax0/standard_window_size
echo 260 > /proc/sys/net/ax25/ax0/maximum_packet_length
sleep 2
Indeed a fellow on the linux hams list sent me two such scripts that
do exactly that. Port mapper is doing and working just as it should be
the problem is with the ax25ipd deamon, when it starts it reads all of
the addresses to the destinations, here is a excerpt from that file:
#
#
route f5kbw 147.210.91.241 udp 10093
#
route f6bvp 82.66.61.83 udp 10093
#
route k4gbb 67.77.166.94 udp 10093
#
#route w4akh 216.78.241.34 udp 10093
route w4akh n4xeo.no-ip.com udp 10093
#
It reads and resolvesthe n4xeo.no-ip.com address when ax25ipd starts
but from then on it appears to cash the address it has obtained and uses
it regardless of the results. There needs to be some sort of mechanisim
that makes it always use the script to setup the path.
Chuck
what would happen if ''route w4akh n4xeo.no-ip.com udp 10093'' was
changed to'' route w4ah n4xeo 127.0.0.1 10093""
or is this a os generated script that cant be changed via hand. I am not a
linux guru lol heck I am waiting on the final product
then I will switch of of the windozeloosing platform in a heartbreak
