A little additional information: The SCS modem will also accept the NEMA 
position data.  To do this you need a Y cable that connects both the 
computer and GPS to the modem.  In my PTC-IIpro manual this is discribed on 
page 41 and the wiring of the Y cable is on page 236.  What I wasn't sure 
about was whether Airmail could deal with this or not so I spoke to my 
buddy, Gary, AA1GJ, who is an SCS dealer (www.docksideradio.com)   He said 
that Airmail can also be set to pick up the position data from the modem and 
that this works with all the SCS pactor modems.  The advantage of doing it 
this way is that you don't need another com port on the computer, the 
disadvantage is that the GPS data is not available for other computer 
programs that might need it such as a mapping program.
