Chuck and Bud, thank you for sending your responses and notes today.
I fowarded Bud's notes with your email on this subject it to my EC and the
DEC as well as WX4J and KC4OUA that operate Telpac Gateways in Duval and St
Johns counties.
In addition, based on another note, I suggested that different Internet
Providers and Telephone Central offices be considered when setting up
additional Telpac Gateways.
"Telpac is an interface program from a radio to the internet (RF to IS).
Normally this would be located somewhere away from the EOC. Good to have
more than one in an area using different ISP's. If one fails, the other one
may still be working. An understanding of Telco paths in and out of an area
is important in choosing locations for Telpac nodes"
