I inquired about a system described in an email from Bill Vodall that was
posted to the wl2kemcomm reflector.
Here is his response.

I sent him the following - so that you would know what I learned while
trying to put together resources:
"Thank you, Bill.
I went to PACCOM ( http://www.paccomm.com/ )and they provided the digital
regerator chips for thier controllers (Tiny - 2 and Spirits.)
I have one of the TAPR digital regerators also (and ordered more until I
found out it required the use of their 9600 bps modem (no longer in
production or available from TAPR.)
I decided to use the PACCOMM digital regerator because it is available, will
continue to be available and works with any TAPR 2 spec TNC."
